A group of 13 SCOGUI members headed over to Drum Hill Campsite, Derby, for a fun filled weekend of camping in a barn (or well equipped hut!) … with one person choosing to sleep in a badly pitched tent (thanks to Lisa’s tent skills).
Weekend activities included abseiling expertly led by qualified instructor Jamie Shirra, some rather competitive attempts at the low-ropes-course and assault course and a night hike around the countryside.
SCOGUI were certainly very well fed over the weekend, thanks to the culinary and raving expertise of Mark Harrop. Overall it was a very enjoyable and value for money weekend! Extended thanks to James Shirra and Mark Harrop for arranging camping barn 2009!
