Chair |
Name: Jamie Shirra Email: chair at scogui.org.uk About Me: Hi, I’m Jamie and I am your Chair! I am in my second year (of 5!) of a Chemical Engineering course (don’t worry – I don’t know what it is either!). I have come through Scouting from Beavers, have had several senior roles at Explorer, Network and District level before so the club is in good hands! One of the main reasons I chose Loughborough was because of SCOGUI! The role of chair doesn’t make me the scary boss man – I am more of a running boy, making sure that the club communicated with others, and that others can communicate with the club! If you have any questions please get in touch with me at any time with any question! SCOGUI Love x |

Vice Chair |
Name: James Waterworth Email: vicechair at scogui.org.uk About Me: I’m James, Vice Chair of Scogui for 2010-2011. I’ve been in scouting since I started beavers when I was little and have gone through all the sections up to network without too much bother in between |

Secretary |
Name: Kayleigh “Om Nom Nom” Butcher Email: secretary at scogui.org.uk About Me: Heya future or present scogui people!! I’m Kayleigh and I’m currently in my 4th year of studying for a 5 year masters course in mechanical engineering! My scouting/guiding past is quite mixed! I started with rainbows, and progressed to brownies, guides, scouts and explorers. I was also a beaver young leader/leader for 8 years! As Secretary it is my job to write agendas and minute the meetings of the club, and to generally keep all the paperwork under control!! I am very proud of SCOGUI and think its the most friendly and inclusive club at loughborough!! I want to keep it this way and get as many new people involved as possible!! |
|
Treasurer |
Name: Tom “The Poet” Chamberlain Email: treasurer at scogui.org.uk About Me: Hey, I’m Tom and I’m a third year Mechanical Engineer. Scouting was brand new to me when I met SCOGUI, but I’ve loved the involvement that I’ve had in it ever since, but that’s not all we’re about. SCOGUI quickly becomes a big part of your life if you let it, with it’s multiple camps and fun weekly random activities, and you really should because it makes everything else at uni (work/exams/coursework/debt) that much more manageable/ignorable by providing those welcome distractions! As treasurer I have to keep the banks balance in check and make sure that you’re getting your moneys worth in what we offer. |

Publicity |
Name: Vicki Minchener Email: publicity at scogui.org.uk About Me: Hi everyone, I’m Vicki and I’m currently in my first year of my degree in Graphic Communication. I have adored my time in SCOGUI so far as it’s one of the most active and friendly societies there is! My job on committee is to use my graphic-sy skills to create some fabulous publicity material to attract lovely new members, in order to keep the club growing. I’m also in charge of ordering some beautiful stash for the club; SCOGUI baselayer/hat/mug/joggers anyone?! Additionally I keep the websites up to date and looking beautiful. |
|
Liaisons |
Name: Megan ‘Megs’ Jones Email: Liaisons at scogui.org.uk About Me: Hi! I’m Megan and I’m currently on placement in a degree in accounting and financial management! I’ve been a part of guiding since I was 7 as a brownie and am now a warranted guide leader! As Liaisons I’m the contact for the local scout and guide groups so if you want to help out in a local unit let me know and I’ll try and help. I also book you lovely people on to rally, trying to maintain the large SCOGUI presence in SSAGO and organise transport to get you all there! |
|
Quartermaster |
Name: Dave Prudom Email: qm at scogui.org.uk About Me: Hi! I’m Dave and I’m currently in my third/fourth (I have no idea when you are reading this) year of a chemistry degree. I’ve been in scouting for 13 years, and currently an assistant beaver scout leader for a local colony. As Quartermaster I look after all of the equipment SCOGUI owns, so if you’re in need anything from a sleeping bag or tent space for camp, to some rope for a normal Tuesday night, and everything in between, I’m the guy you need to talk to. Also as a chemistry student I’m quite handy at setting things on fire!. |

Freshers Rep |
Name: David “Needs no sleep” Hendy Email: freshers at scogui.org.uk About Me: Heya! I’m David and I’m in my first year of studying maths. I have been in the scouting movement for 12 years now and I am currently both a scout and explorer scout leader with groups back home. Right, so as your freshers rep this year it is my job to make sure all you amazing freshers have the best time possible with Scogui (also amazing), so if you have any problems or queries just email me and I will do my best to get it sorted! So lets have an amazing year |
