About Me:
Heyas all! I’m Nicole and I’m currently in my final year of a Geography degree… though I plan to do a masters here afterwards! I’ve been in guiding since I was a rainbow and haven’t really looked back. I don’t help at a unit currently but am hoping to start helping at a Rainbow unit in Loughborough soon. As Scogui chair I am a point of contact for anyone who wants something done within Scogui or the union. I am hoping to continue our good contacts with other SSAGO groups and hope to keep the club going strong and growing and growing!

Heya future or present scogui people!! I’m kayleigh and I’m currently in my 4th year of studying for a 5 year masters course in mechanical engineering! I started with rainbows, and progressed to brownies, guides, scouts and explorers, so abit of a mixed bag!! I was a beaver young leader then leader for 8 years! As vice chair it is my job to support Nicole, and to generally help out anybody who needs a hand so feel free to ask!! I am proud of SCOGUI and think its the most friendly club at loughborough!! I want to keep it this way and get as many new people involved as possible!! Bye for now :) xxx

Secretary

Name: Aimée “I don’t drink” Mollart
Email: secretary at scogui.org.uk
About Me:
Hey! I’m Aimée and I’m on my 2nd year of Maths here at Loughborough. My involvement in Guiding started with Rainbows and continued through to Guides. I started Scouting when I was 11 and have never looked back. As an Explorer I attended many international camps – even as far away as Thailand. Now I’m an ABSL both at home near Swindon and here in Loughborough! As secretary I get the fun job of writing up the minutes after any meetings and making sure that you lot know what’s happening within the club.

Treasurer

Name: Tom “The Poet” Chamberlain
Email: treasurer at scogui.org.uk
About Me:
Hey, I’m Tom and I’m a third year Mechanical Engineer. Scouting was brand new to me when I met SCOGUI, but I’ve loved the involvement that I’ve had in it ever since, but that’s not all we’re about. SCOGUI quickly becomes a big part of your life if you let it, with it’s multiple camps and fun weekly random activities, and you really should because it makes everything else at uni (work/exams/coursework/debt) that much more manageable/ignorable by providing those welcome distractions! As treasurer I have to keep the banks balance in check and make sure that you’re getting your moneys worth in what we offer.

Publicity

Name: Vicki “Mince Pie” Minchener
Email: publicity at scogui.org.uk
About Me:
Hi everyone, I’m Vicki and I’m currently in my first year of my degree in Graphic Communication. I have adored my time in SCOGUI so far as it’s one of the most active and friendly societies there is! My job on committee is to use my graphic-sy skills to create some fabulous publicity material to attract lovely new members, in order to keep the club growing. I also get to order some lovely stash for the club as well as keep our websites up to date and looking beautiful.

Liaisons

Name: Megan ‘Megs’ Jones
Email: Liaisons at scogui.org.uk
About Me:
Hi! I’m Megan and I’m currently on placement in a degree in accounting and financial management! I’ve been a part of guiding since I was 7 as a brownie and am now a warranted guide leader! As Liaisons I’m the contact for the local scout and guide groups so if you want to help out in a local unit let me know and I’ll try and help. I also book you lovely people on to rally, trying to maintain the large SCOGUI presence in SSAGO and organise transport to get you all there!

Quartermaster

Name: Pete “Where’s my nuts” Pollock
Email: qm at scogui.org.uk
About Me:
Hey! I am Pete and I’m in my second year of Systems Engineering. It has been joked I was conceived on camp, because it just seems to be something I have always done so now you know where to find me! I have been part of the scouts in three different countries (Scotland, Belgium and England). But wherever it is I always have a good laugh and have great friends. In order to give something back I am now an SL back home in the New Forest and an ASL here in Loughborough! As the QM I look after all of SCOGUI’s equipment and make sure its where its needed, so if you need kit I am the one to contact.

Freshers Rep

Name: David “Needs no sleep” Hendy
Email: freshers at scogui.org.uk
About Me:
Heya! I’m David and I’m in my first year of studying maths. I have been in the scouting movement for 12 years now and I am currently both a scout and explorer scout leader with groups back home. Right, so as your freshers rep this year it is my job to make sure all you amazing freshers have the best time possible with Scogui (also amazing), so if you have any problems or queries just email me and I will do my best to get it sorted! So lets have an amazing year :)
